There was a time when Sarah Jessica Parker was the biggest star in the media because of her highly successful series on HBO, “Sex in the City.” Before social media became a barometer for popularity, Sarah was the Hollywood IT girl, who was often in the pages of magazines and on television features.
It didn’t matter that Parker wasn’t the “perfect beauty” by some people’s standards because she knew how to carry herself. She had numerous product endorsements as well, despite the shaming she got from the public for the imperfections on her face, with her big nose and her elongated chin.
In the early 2000s, this actress was a trendsetter and the fashion-savant who was copied for her style. However, she was also scrutinized for how she looked and what she wore.
Quite used to the media attention because she started her showbiz career at a tender age, Sarah Jessica Parker hardly talks about whether she had plastic surgery or cosmetic enhancements. People speculated that she had some procedures done, especially on her face, but her cosmetic surgeries might have been subtle and moderate.
Now that she’s in her mid-50s, Sarah seemed to be embracing the evidence of aging on her skin. I don’t believe that this actress is the type to be so conscious of how she looks but like everyone else, I’m still curious if she did get some beauty enhancements done.
Before & After Photos
Sarah Jessica Parker’s beauty transformation is probably not what most people would typically brand as “remarkable.” She did, however, go through some interesting changes in her appearance over the years, as these pictures will show. But are these changes aided by plastic surgery? Let’s find out!
Did Sarah get a facelift?
I don’t suppose Sarah Jessica Parker considered getting a facelift, not even once. Nothing about her face drastically changed from her time as an actress on “Footloose” in the ’80s to her “SATC” days in the late ’90s, to the early 2000s till now.
If anything, the drastic change to her appearance would be the wrinkles on her aging skin. You can also spot slight sagginess around her face cheeks, which would not be so obvious if she did get a facelift.
Does she have botox injections?
I think Sarah might have gotten botox around her cheeks at some point. Look at how rigid her cheek area appeared when she smiled in this photo to the right compared to the natural expression in the left. To me, this looks like the effect of facial fillers put into good use and she didn’t seem to have injected too much either.
Has Sarah had a boob job?
The fact that her breast size became at least two cups bigger makes me believe that Sarah might have had breast implants. As these before and after photos will show, she was flat-chested in her ’30s but she remained stick-thin all throughout so how did her boobs get bigger? Even with a decent push-up bra, the result wouldn’t be like this. If this is true, however, then her boob job looks quite good on her.
Did she have rhinoplasty?
Despite the rumors, I don’t think Sarah Jessica Parker got a nose job. For me, her nose size and shape has been the same. I believe that this is one of her “assets.” People recognize her for her big nose. If she changed this just one bit, it will completely alter her look and I don’t think that’s what she wants.
What about Sarah’s teeth?
Because she started doing theater as a child, I think Parker’s parents made sure to take care of her teeth. She reaped from this because she has a perfect set of white teeth as an adult and she has such a beautiful smile.
Sarah Jessica Parker: Then and Now
There has to be a reason why everyone digs Parker’s looks. Let’s check out her transformation over the years and before she became famous in Hollywood.
Parker at childhood
Will you look at this! Sarah Jessica Parker had her trademark long and curly red hair even as a child. It’s amazing how much she looks the same as a kid coz people’s faces usually change as they grow older.
There were obvious gaps on Sarah’s front tooth so looks it was corrected with braces when she was young.
Parker in 1977
Parker starred as Annie on Broadway for one year. She looks adorable in this iconic costume. Red hair really suits her, huh?
Parker in 1982
Sarah tried to tone down her red locks by turning her hair color into a brunette for the CBS sitcom “Square Pegs.” She looks so fresh and young in this photo.
Parker in 1991
I don’t know that the deal is with Parker’s outfit in this photo but she has always experimented with her sense of style, as far as I can recall. Dressing outrageously was normal to her until it became the fad when she became a successful TV star.
By the way, notice the breast? The push-up bra couldn’t make her boobs look fuller. I do like that she went back to her light-colored hair though.
Parker in 1998
This was the year “Sex and The City” debuted on HBO and it became a watercooler hit series. I could never forget Sarah Jessica Parker’s image with her curly locks on the screen. That hair was a character on its own and this photo proves it!
Parker in 2005
After “SATC” wrapped up and ended its run, Sarah returned to doing movies and changed up her looks. I think she appeared younger when she had her hair straightened for the first time.
I love her basic barely-there makeup here. I don’t think I’ve seen Sarah Jessica Parker wearing lots of reds, wines, magentas, and pinks on her face. She always went with nude colors, perhaps to not overpower her strong facial features. She obviously has a good makeup artist working for her.
Parker in 2014
SJP stuck with the straight hair as she got older but to be honest, I really miss those curls! Not sure if it’s the cleavage-baring dress or her straight hair being too long because, this time, I think it made her look older.
Parker in 2019
Sarah Jessica’s face looks slightly different in this photo of her appearance at the GLAAD Media Awards. What changed? I could guess five things.
First, she has aged. Second, she wore dark eye makeup that made her look fierce but it took the sparkle out of her eyes. Third, she didn’t flash her lovely smile. Fourth, she parted her hair in the middle and it didn’t flatter the shape of her face. Fifth, it looks like she had botox on her cheeks, which probably explains why she didn’t smile so much.
What does Sarah Jessica Parker say about plastic surgery?
In an interview with Hollywood.com some years ago, Sarah had this to say about cosmetic enhancements.
“I’ve had no Botox, no collagen, nothing. I have lines, but if some of my peers weren’t having things done, I wouldn’t think about it.”
In a way, I kind of trust her, especially after the way she was mocked on Social Media since attending the Met Gala in 2018. Here’s what one critic had to say.
Wow!!!! I use to think she was so pretty!!!! Plastic surgery is not 4 everybody
At least this person truly believed her…

Conclusion
Sarah Jessica Parker doesn’t strike me as someone who really cares about how she looks to the point that she’s obsessed about it. I also think it does not matter to her that she isn’t considered a “beauty” by normal standards.
A proof of this is her inclination to wear something different during her younger days as a star. The fact that she hasn’t really changed her appearance all that much, despite the criticisms about her nose and her face, also tells me that she isn’t as vain or as beauty-conscious as other Hollywood stars.
I believe, however, that she may have gotten a breast augmentation for her body and probably does occasional botox and I think she did this for one good reason: because she can afford to. In general, however, I believe Sarah didn’t have too much cosmetic surgery. So, on that level, much of her looks are natural.
